Mom faces homicide charge after driving car into pond with toddler inside, Utah cops say
A mom drove her car into a pond at a golf course with her 18-month-old son inside and he later died, Utah police said.
Brittanie Mae Miloshevsky, 28, was impaired when she drove her car into the pond on a golf course, the South Salt Lake Police Department said in a news release Monday. When police arrived at the golf course, they saw Miloshevsky near the pond and her car submerged, according to the news release.
“Officers dove into the pond to extract the submerged toddler from the vehicle,” South Salt Lake police said. “The toddler was recovered and transported to Primary Children’s Hospital in critical condition and later died as a result of the injuries.”
Miloshevsky was arrested and charged with child abuse homicide, DUI with serious bodily injury, child endangerment and criminal mischief, police said.
