A man suffered serious injuries Saturday evening after the car he was riding in was struck head-on by another vehicle.
The accident took place about 6 p.m. along a narrow, graveled section of the road beside Lucky Peak Reservoir.
The passenger who was injured was not wearing a seat belt, Boise County deputies said. The man, who was not publicly identified but who was described as being in his late teens or early 20s, struck his head on the windshield.
He was taken to a Boise hospital for treatment. Because his name was not released, no information is available on his condition.
The driver of the other car, identified as Joshua Corson, 27, of Boise, was cited for misdemeanor leaving the scene of an injury accident and driving left of the center-point of a road. He exchanged information with the driver of the other vehicle, but left the scene before deputies arrived, police said.
Arrowrock Road has been the scene of numerous serious crashes over the years. Most involved people going off the road into the water.
