Motorcyclist injured in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 20-26 in Canyon County

An 18-year-old Caldwell man was taken to a local hospital Thursday evening after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 20-26 near Smeed Parkway in Canyon County, according to Idaho State Police.

The crash happened at 6:17 p.m. near milepost 25.

Police said a 44-year-old Caldwell woman was driving a car west on U.S. 20-26 and was attempting to turn left onto Smeed Parkway when she collided with an eastbound motorcycle ridden by the 18-year-old.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the car was not reported to be injured.

The intersection was blocked for about two hours while emergency crews responded.

The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
