Woman dies after being struck by vehicle in a Nampa crosswalk
A woman was entering the crosswalk on the north side of 7th Street South when she was fatally struck by a vehicle turning northbound on 7th Avenue South Monday morning, according to the Nampa Police Department.
Police said that despite receiving lifesaving measures on the scene, the woman died from her injuries.
While the crash remains under investigation by the Nampa Police Department, police said there are no signs alcohol or drug impairment was involved in the crash. However, the sun may have played a factor in visibility.
The intersection of 7th Street South and 7th Avenue South is now back open.
