A 17-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash Monday at the Clay Peak motorcycle park, the Payette County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Emergency dispatchers were informed of the accident at about 11:40 a.m. Monday. The rider sustained “severe head injuries,” according to a 911 caller.

First responders treated the victim and called for an air ambulance, but the teenager died at the scene, the release said.

No information about the victim has been released.

Clay Peak Recreation Area is off of Idaho 52 in Payette. It features 2 miles of motorcycle and ATV trails spread across 200 acres.
