Ada County coroner identifies Boise motorcyclist who died in Meridian crash

Officials released the name of a man who was fatally hit while driving a motorcycle in Meridian on Friday evening.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office said 60-year-old Ryan Ellis, of Boise, was pronounced dead at 7:08 p.m. Friday in the emergency department of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, according to a Wednesday morning news release from the coroner.

The release listed Ellis’ cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries and his manner of death as an accident.

The crash occurred when a driver on McMillan Road attempted to turn north onto Wild Good Way, according to a Meridian Police Department news release. That vehicle collided with Ellis, who had been driving his motorcycle west on McMillan, police said.

The Meridian Police Department is investigating the incident.
