A Meridian woman died following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in West Boise over the weekend.

The Boise Police Department responded to the crash at North Cloverdale Road and West Executive Drive at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a police news release on Tuesday.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as 83-year-old Shirley Lovett.

Police say Lovett was driving north on Cloverdale and failed to stop at a red light and entered the intersection at Executive Drive. The second driver, traveling west on Executive, went through the intersection and the two cars collided.

Lovett was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, where she died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, according to the coroner’s office. The other driver avoided injury, police said.

The coroner’s office determined the cause of death was complication of multiple blunt force injuries and the manner was accident.

Boise police are investigating the collision.
