Eisenman Road near I-84 and Micron in Boise closed for commute after semi crashes

Drivers should avoid a closed roadway near the Micron campus.

Officials closed South Eisenman Road, between Freight Street and Interstate I-84 in Boise, on Tuesday, the Ada County Highway District posted on social media at about 1 p.m.

The highway district said a semi carrying a large load went into a ditch. Crews needed to use a crane to remove it because of the semitrailer’s heavy weight before the road could reopen to traffic, according to the post.

“While crews hope to complete the crane work this evening, Eisenman Road will likely remain closed through the evening commute,” the district said. “Please avoid the area and use an alternate route.”
