A Caldwell driver died near New Meadows after a rollover crash. He was 25.

A Caldwell man died after his vehicle rolled on U.S. Highway 95 Thursday, according to Idaho State Police,

Just after 9 p.m. Thursday, the 25-year-old was driving south toward News Meadows when his blue 2005 Kia Rio rolled and knocked down a power pole, according to a news release from state police. The driver, who hasn’t been identified, died from his injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

Several other vehicles were struck by debris from the power pole, state police said. The highway was blocked for roughly four hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by several agencies: Idaho Power, Idaho Transportation Department, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and Meadows Valley Fire.
