The Ada County Coroner’s Office identified a Boise woman as the pedestrian who was hit by a car in late September in Meridian and died nearly two weeks later.

Lynda Leamaster, 58, was struck in a parking lot in the 3400 block of East Fairview Avenue in Meridian on Sept. 28, according to a coroner’s press release. Leamaster was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where on Oct. 10 she was pronounced dead a little after 3:30 p.m., the release said.

The coroner listed the death as an accident and said the cause was blunt force injuries of the head.

The Meridian Police Department is investigating the incident; the Idaho Statesman contacted police for more information but did not immediately receive further comment.
