A single-vehicle crash left a 30-year-old Nampa man dead Friday night.

According to an Idaho State Police news release, the man was driving the car westbound on U.S. 20/26 when it went off the right shoulder near 11th Avenue North and came to a stop partially submerged in a small body of water.

When authorities arrived, he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, the release stated.

The man was driving a midsize crossover, according to the release. The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
