Three-car collision claims 19-year-old man’s life in Kuna, leaves 3 injured
A collision involving three cars in Kuna left a 19-year-old man dead early Thursday morning.
At about 5:31 a.m., the Ada County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kuna Mora Road west of Cole Road, according to a news release. The deceased victim was found at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The release said the 19-year-old was driving a 1992 Honda Accord eastbound on Kuna Mora Road when he attempted to pass two cars and moved into the westbound lane. The Accord and a 2012 Ford Edge heading west collided, and a Toyota Camry travelling eastbound also was struck.
The man’s identity will be released by the Ada County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
The crash’s other victims — a 44-year-old who was driving the Ford Edge, and the 26-year-old driver and a 49-year-old passenger in the Camry — were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, according to the release.
The crash is still under investigation, and the Sheriff’s Office asked anyone who witnessed it or has information to contact Detective Huffaker at mhuffaker@adacounty.id.gov, or contact nonemergency dispatch at 208-377-6790.
