Caldwell crash hospitalizes one, blocks intersection for two hours

One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Caldwell.

A 65-year-old Nampa woman was driving a compact SUV west on Cleveland Boulevard at about 4:34 p.m. Tuesday when she failed to yield at a stoplight, Idaho State Police said.

She entered the intersection of Happy Day Boulevard and struck a car attempting to make a left turn, police said in a news release.

Police said the SUV driver sustained serious injuries, and emergency responders took her to a hospital by ambulance.

Traffic at the intersection was blocked for about two hours as responders helped those involved and cleared the scene.

State police are investigating the incident.
