Boise bicyclist, 54, killed in State Street crash. Police investigating

A Boise bicyclist died in a crash along State Street over the weekend.

Police first responded at 10:45 p.m. Friday after the cyclist was struck on State between Roe Street and Bogart Lane, according to the Boise Police Department and the Ada County Coroner’s Office.

The preliminary police investigation indicated that the bicyclist, identified by the coroner as Colin Gray, 54, was crossing State Street when he was struck by a westbound vehicle, according to the BPD news release.

Gray was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, according to the coroner’s release, where he died in the emergency department less than an hour later from “blunt force injuries.”

The Boise Police Department is investigating.
