Motorcycle driver killed in pickup collision at Boise-area intersection
A Boise-area crash ended in a roadside fatality on Tuesday evening.
A 46-year-old man driving a pickup truck north on Idaho 55 was attempting to turn onto West Floating Feather Road in Eagle when he collided with a motorcycle in the southbound lane of the highway, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Eagle Police Department deputies responded to the incident at 9:03 p.m.
The 32-year-old man on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Ada County Coroner’s Office plans to release the victim’s name after his family has been notified.
“Lanes in the area were blocked for several hours while collision reconstruction detectives gathered evidence, took aerial photographs, and conducted witness interviews,” the sheriff’s office said.
The Ada County Collision Reconstruction Team was investigating the accident.
