Pedestrian hit by car on Overland Road in Boise has ‘life-threatening injuries’

A pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with “life-threatening injuries” after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning.

The Boise Police Department posted on X that it was investigating a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Overland Road between Curtis and Eagleson roads. The man was still in the hospital Tuesday, Haley Williams, a spokesperson for the department, told the Idaho Statesman by email.

The crash closed a portion of Overland for a little over two hours. It was reopened around 12:15 p.m., the post said.

Police are investigating the crash. No one has been charged or cited for the crime, Williams said.
