Man and dog killed in four-vehicle crash near Ann Morrison Park in Boise

A man and dog were killed in a four-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon near Ann Morrison Park.

Preliminary evidence showed that a pickup truck driving north on North Americana Boulevard struck the victim’s car shortly before 2:48 p.m., according to a Boise Police Department news release. The car had been turning left into the park from the southbound lane, the release said.

Police said the truck and car then collided with two other vehicles stopped at the park entrance traffic light.

No one else involved was seriously injured, according to police.

Law enforcement closed Americana between Crescent Rim Drive and Shoreline Drive while the Boise Police Violent Crime Unit and crash-reconstruction team cleared the scene and investigated.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released yet.
