Motorcycle crash near Lucky Peak Lake sends 2 people to hospital

A crash near Lucky Peak Lake injured two people on Sunday evening.

The two were on a Kawasaki motorcycle heading north on Idaho 21 when they crashed at 6:15 p.m., Idaho State Police said in a news release.

The motorcycle “failed to negotiate a curve and struck the concrete barrier on the right-hand shoulder” at milepost 16, just south of Arrow Rock Road in Ada County, police said.

First responders brought the driver to a local hospital by ground ambulance and the passenger by air ambulance.

The names of the victims — a 52-year-old man from Boise and a 46-year-old woman from Renton, Washington — have not been released.

State police are investigating the accident. The agency was helped at the scene by Ada County Paramedics, the Boise Fire Department and the Boise Police Department.
