Police respond to fatal crash in Meridian; drivers asked to avoid the area
A person was killed in a car crash on Saturday in Meridian.
The intersection of North Locust Grove and East Franklin roads closed Saturday afternoon in all directions due to the fatal crash, according to a Meridian Police Department news release.
One adult woman has been confirmed dead, according to the release.
“Officers are currently on the scene,” the release said. “We ask motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while first responders work at the scene. Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident.”
