At around 2:30 a.m. Monday, a Kia Rio and a Subaru Impreza were traveling westbound on Interstate 84 in Ada County when the Kia struck the rear end of the Subaru, causing the vehicle to leave the road, according to a news release from state police.

The Kia was stopped in the roadway by mile marker 42 when the driver, a 23-year-old man from Meridian, exited the vehicle and was struck by a Mitsubishi Mirage also traveling westbound on the interstate, the release said.
