Idaho drivers: Expect detours next week on Interstate 84. Here’s what to expect
Drivers in Canyon County should expect detours early next week, according to a news release.
The Idaho Transportation Department will close the 10th Avenue westbound on-ramp to Interstate 84 on Monday and Tuesday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Then on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 10 p.m to 5 a.m., the 10th Avenue westbound off-ramp on I-84 will be closed, the news release said.
“Flaggers will direct traffic on 10th Avenue at nighttime under the 10th Avenue bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.,” the release said. “During this work motorists will drive on a gravel surface on 10th Avenue.”
The closure is part of ITD’s improvements along I-84 in Canyon County.
“Motorists can expect intermittent local road closures, lane closures and ramp closures throughout the duration of the project,” the news release said. “Construction is anticipated to be completed in 2027.”
