A man died in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend in Boise, according to a news release from the Boise Police Department.

The accident occurred just before 2 a.m. July 14 near S. Federal Way and S. Findley Avenue.

The adult male, who was driving a Vespa-style scooter, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but did not survive, according to police.

An investigation of the accident by a BPD crash reconstruction team determined that the man was traveling eastbound on Federal Way when he lost control and crashed. No other vehicles were involved, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Ada County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
