A Caldwell man was killed after losing control of his motorcycle exiting Interstate 84, police said.

The man, 60, was traveling westbound on a 1988 Harley Davidson at 8:39 p.m. Saturday when he was killed, Idaho State Police said in a news release. He tried to use the Milepost 13 off ramp, the exit for U.S. Highway 30, traveling at high speed. He drove off the left shoulder and died of his injuries at the scene, police said.

He was not wearing a helmet.

The ramp was closed for two and a half hours, police said. Police were investigating.
