Idaho State Police investigating 7-vehicle crash on I-84; 1 person hospitalized

Idaho State Police is investigating an early morning seven-vehicle crash that hospitalized one individual Thursday.

According to a news release, the crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. at eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 39 near the Robinson Road overpass in Canyon County. Seven vehicles and their drivers were involved in a chain reaction collision.

State police said all occupants involved in the crash were wearing their seat belts, and only one person was taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance.

The left two lanes of eastbound I-84 were blocked for two hours, and the right two lanes were blocked for an additional hour.
