Be prepared for Treasure Valley road closures on I-84, Amity Road starting Friday night
Treasure Valley commuters need to prepare for a pair of closures to major thoroughfares as early as Friday night.
Eastbound Interstate 84 between the Franklin Road and Karcher Road exits will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday, according to the Idaho Transportation Department, as crews pour concrete for the Ustick Overpass. Drivers will be detoured to Nampa-Caldwell Boulevard.
Westbound I-84 will remain open, but traffic will be delayed between 11 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday while crews repair an overhead utility line. Idaho State Police will lead traffic through the work zone.
Beginning Monday, Amity Road will be closed in both directions between Meridian Road and Locus Grove Road, according to the Ada County Highway District. The closure will be in place for approximately two weeks, and commuters are advised to use Victory Road or Lake Hazel Road.
