Car crash leaves 26-year-old Nampa woman dead, Idaho State Police say

A one-vehicle crash near Nampa left a 26-year-old woman dead early Sunday morning, Idaho State Police announced in a news release.

At 12:11 a.m. Sunday, the Nampa resident was driving southbound on Prescott Lane and approaching Ustick Road when her 2005 Mini Cooper left the roadway, according to the release. The vehicle struck a tree, overturned and caught fire.

The driver died at the scene, police said.
