Idaho woman killed in motorcycle crash in Gem County

An Emmett woman is dead after a motorcycle crash Wednesday evening on State Highway 52 in Gem County.

According to a news release from the Idaho State Police, 44-year-old Theresa Woodhall was driving on her motorcycle west on the highway when the bike left the road. Police were called out to the crash around 5:15 p.m., and the crash was reported around milepost 38 near Black Canyon Dam.

She crashed the motorcycle — a 2013 Harley Davidson — and was thrown from the vehicle. Law enforcement said she died form her injuries at the scene. She was not wearing a helmet. Next of kin was notified by police after the crash.

After the crash, troopers blocked off the road in both directions between mileposts 36 and 39.
