Idaho man killed in single-car crash in Caldwell on Tuesday night
A Wilder man is dead after his car hydroplaned and crashed in Caldwell on Tuesday night.
At around 8:47 p.m., Idaho State Police were dispatched to the scene of the crash near Centennial Way and Chicago Street in Caldwell, according to a news release from the department. Troopers found that a car going north had hit a large puddle in the road before losing control and hitting a tree.
The driver of the car, identified by ISP as 23-year-old Wilder resident Josh Gamble, died at the scene. Troopers believe Gamble was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The roadway near the crash was blocked for roughly 90 minutes while members of the ISP investigated the scene.
