Giant fallen rock blocks Highway 138 in Oregon

A 200 ton rock put a stop to traffic near Glide, Oregon, on Highway 138 East on Thursday.

The 12-foot rock slid onto the road and traffic was diverted, the Oregon Department of Transportation reported on its Facebook page.

The department used a private contractor and explosives to blow the rock to rubble and the DOT anticipated the road will have one lane open Thursday.
