Idaho Special Olympics state games are coming up in Payette, volunteers still needed

Special Olympics Idaho hosts the games in Payette County on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7. 

Over 1,200 athletes will meet in Payette's Kiwanis Park at 7 p.m. on Friday for opening ceremonies. Events, including aquatics, basketball, cycling, track and field and powerlifting will take place through Saturday at various venues. 

The Special Olympics organization is still looking for volunteers to help with the competitions on June 7.
