‘Life-changing’: Boise State student-athletes’ talent show to benefit Make-A-Wish Idaho

How long has it been since you had a night out? Well, next week it’s on. Grab your spouse or find a date for an event that supports some serious wish-granting.

The 20th annual Serving Up Wishes fundraiser is at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Stueckle Sky Center at Alberstons Stadium, 1910 University Drive, Boise.

The evening is unique. Not only are guests treated to a dinner and live auction, but “approximately 80 Boise State University student-athletes, representing every NCAA and Boise State-sponsored men’s and women’s sport,” will provide entertainment by showcasing their talents, according to the website.

There will also be a special presentation from a child and/or their family speaking about their experience with Make-A-Wish Idaho.

The event benefits that organization, which grants “life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses” to “create strength, hope and transformation in a child — and a community,” according to its website.

Tickets are $200 per person. Sponsorship options are available.
