Nonprofits, charities saw huge pandemic demand. Help their missions through Idaho Gives
Idaho Gives, an annual program of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, typically had been a one-day online giving campaign for a slew of charities, nonprofits and organizations.
As with nearly everything else, though, the COVID-19 pandemic forced changes, and the statewide event was extended to two weeks in 2020. It lasted one week in 2021.
This year, the event has been altered again, and it’s still not back to being just a 24-hour period. Idaho Gives will last four days this time around, May 2-5, next Monday through Thursday.
During this time, visit idahogives.org, peruse the profiles of the registered organizations and support the nonprofits that speak to you the most.
Idaho Gives is “designed to bring the state together, raising money and awareness for Idaho nonprofits,” according to a news release. With its inclusive online platform, donors are provided a convenient one-stop shop.
And with the extra days, it provides nonprofits the opportunity to further engage with potential donors in hopes of creating a lasting relationship.
Prizes are still a major part of Idaho Gives and will be handed out in various categories.
“The past two years have been hard on everyone and folks are leaning on nonprofits even more,” said Kevin Bailey, CEO of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, in the release. “Along with raising funds and awareness, Idaho Gives 2022 is also a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work charitable organizations have done during the pandemic.”
