Meridian’s Metro Express offers free car washes to frontline workers to say thank you

When the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Idaho mid-March, the state quickly went into self-quarantine mode.

People started working from home, getting groceries delivered to the house, FaceTiming family instead of visiting in person, etc. Homebodies became the new norm.

However, some were not able to isolate themselves from others. Frontline personnel were required to keep working, despite the risk, since they play a vital role in our community.

And we are thankful!

To show appreciation for putting their lives on the line to keep the economy in motion and the rest of us safe, Metro Express Car Wash in Meridian will provide free car washes to all medical personnel, first responders, teachers and grocery store employees through July.

“These washes are given to hopefully make their lives a little easier and less stressful. To give them a few minutes to relax and feel better in a clean car,” mentions operating partner Chris Bauer in a press release. “We hope they come in and allow us to take care of them for a few minutes and to say thank you. Thank you for taking care of us and our community.”

Metro Express Car Wash, located at 1725 E. Overland Road, is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
