Feeling lucky? Take part in Boise St. Patrick’s Day run to benefit YMCA youth track club
Looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but not into binge-drinking green beers? (Or just too young to indulge?)
Keep your festive spirit but trade the hangover for health at the St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run on March 14 at Julia Davis Park, 700 S. Capitol Blvd., Boise.
The run consists of a 5k and a 5-mile course, which both begin at 10 a.m., as well as a Leprechaun Loop (one-mile run) at 9:30 a.m.
And don’t forget to dress the part! The five best-dressed Leprechauns or green runners will receive prizes.
The all-ages event supports the YMCA Team Idaho Track and Cross Country Club, which “helps kids at all levels improve and enjoy track and field and cross country in addition to learning goal setting, sportsmanship and proper methods of reaching a high level of fitness.”
Fees are $30 general, $25 for youth. Pricing is the same no matter what course you choose to run. However, registration does increase $5 after March 9 and again on race day.
