Bid on art with heart at Boise’s Valentine for AIDS
Valentine’s Day is just a few days away.
And before we all scramble to make those dinner reservations and buy the candy or make that mental note to stop at the local grocery store day-of to pick up flowers, how about switching it up a little?
After all, your someone special is special!
Surprise your loved one with a one-of-a-kind art piece that is just as unique as him/her and guaranteed to have a longer shelf life than any chocolates or roses.
Valentine for AIDS kicked off last Thursday, Feb. 6, and continues through Sunday, Feb. 16, at Flying M Coffeehouse, 500 W. Idaho St., Boise.
The 27th annual benefit is a silent art auction of pieces created and donated by more than 250 local artists.
Valentines can be viewed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with bidding available until 4 p.m. on Feb. 16.
The event is a fundraiser for SNAP (Safety Net for AIDS Program), which “provides assistance in housing, utility bills, groceries, and medical insurance payments for clients living with HIV/AIDS.”
