Boise River to be stocked with steelhead

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will be loading up the Boise River with about 150 steelhead Thursday.

The fish will be stocked in five different locations — Glenwood Bridge, Americana Bridge, Broadway Avenue Bridge near Boise State University, Parkcenter Bridge and at Barber Park, according to a Fish and Game press release.

Those who want to take the opportunity to nab a steelhead will need a permit available for $12.75 through Fish and Game, good for 20 fish.

Anglers will be allowed to hook the stocked fish — distinguished by their lack of an adipose fin, according to the release.
