New West Ada school trustee sworn in

Philip Neuhoff took the oath of office to become a West Ada School Board trustee Tuesday.

Neuhoff was appointed by the trustees in a three to one vote last month to fill the unexpired term of Julie Madsen who resigned rather than undergo a recall election. Three remaining trustees, Russell Joki, Carol Sayles and chairwoman Tina Dean – who all voted for Neuhoff – face a recall election on May 17.

Joki and Sayles have sought an injunction in Fourth District Court to block the recall.

Neuhoff’s term ends in 2019.
