Concordia Law School dean promoted
Cathy Silak, founding dean of the Concordia University School of Law, has been promoted to vice president of Concordia’s community engagement. She will concentrate on the Intermountain West.
Silak, who was named dean in 2008, helped guide the formation of the 90-student law school which opened in 2012.
In her new role, she will help develop partnerships in the region for Concordia to be involved in a variety of capacities helping communities.
Silak will remain in Boise and continue to serve as Concordia’s law dean until a replacement is found following a national search.
Silak is a former Idaho Supreme Court justice.
