Here’s who won titles at Idaho’s District III marching band festival
Mountain View High took top honors Saturday night at Albertsons Stadium in the Mel Shelton District III Marching Festival.
Mountain View won the “large open” classification and the overall district title. Timberline (medium open), Owyhee (small open), Middleton (large A) and Emmett (small A) also won classification championships.
Nampa finished second overall and won the award for best overall music performance. Timberline finished third overall.
The annual season-ending event attracted 26 Treasure Valley high school marching bands. It lasted more than 10 hours, including a lightning delay of about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
