Middleton School District superintendent steps down after just 10 months on the job
Middleton School District Superintendent Sherawn Reberry has resigned effective immediately, according to a press release from the Middleton School District on Tuesday.
The district’s Board of Trustees was notified of Reberry’s resignation by its attorney, Dan Skinner. Board Chairman Kirk Adams said trustees will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday to discuss next steps, according to the release.
Reberry, who has been on personal leave since May 27, was in the job for less than a year. Her tenure as superintendent began on Aug. 1, 2019, after she was hired last summer.
Her departure comes as the growing district is hoping to see passage of a $1.5 million supplemental levy in this primary election. Results of the mail-in vote are being announced beginning Tuesday night.
Prior to taking the superintendent’s job in Middleton, Reberry’s employment history included a stint as federal programs coordinator for the Caldwell School District. She worked as the associate director for the Center for School Improvement at Boise State University, has been an adjunct faculty member at a number of universities, and also was a fourth-grade teacher in the Kimberly School District.
