Suspects sought in reported armed robbery in Meridian

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an armed robbery at McDermott and Victory roads.

No one was hurt in the confrontation, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies are searching for two occupants of a charcoal-colored Toyota Camry that may have Valley County license plates.

The incident started as a traffic dispute about 2 a.m. Monday, according to the sheriff’s office. A group of men driving west on Interstate 84 said a Camry with two people inside cut them off.

Both cars left the interstate at the 10 Mile Road exit. A passenger in the Camry reportedly pointed an AR-15 rifle at the three people in the other car, robbing them of about $45, according to the sheriff’s office.

The robbery victims said they first saw the Camry on Curtis Road after they left a hookah bar in Garden City and noticed the Camry following them.
