Two Boise residents were arrested and charged with drug trafficking Saturday after speeding 90 mph down Interstate 84, according to an Ada County Sheriff’s Office press release.

James L. Dorsey, 59, and Brandy C. Grenicko, 41, were pulled over 10 a.m. Saturday when deputies saw a black Nissan Pathfinder reaching speeds of 90 mph near the Black Creek Road exit. The vehicle also failed to stay within its own lane, according to the press release.

After pulling the vehicle over, deputies found out Grenicko was on parole for a 2012 conviction of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. A deputy had his search dog with him, so had the dog search the vehicle, according to the release.

They found about 10 pounds of meth in a backpack, meth pipes up front and a loaded handgun, according to the release.

Dorsey and Grenicko are both charged with felony conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine and face their first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
