Washington man gets 32 years to life for Boise bank robberies

Kent G. Williams, 48, was convicted of felony robbery and possession of a weapon in March for robbing Boise banks in April and July 2015.

On Monday, he was sentenced to up to life in prison, but he will be eligible for parole in 32 years, Boise police said in a news release Tuesday. Williams was arrested in August after descriptions from witnesses and tips from the public led investigators to him, police said.

In addition to the bank robbery sentences, he received sentence enhancements for being a persistent violator and using a deadly weapon in commission of a felony. He has a criminal record in King County, Washington, police said.
