Lisandra Lara, 20, was booked into the Ada County Jail Friday on a felony charge of eluding officers after an attempted traffic stop for excessive speed led to a pursuit and a crash, Idaho State Police report.

The incident began about 4:40 p.m. when an ISP trooper tried to pull over a speeding Ford Fusion on eastbound Interstate 84 near the Locust Grove overpass, according to an ISP news release. The driver did not stop but instead exited the freeway at Eagle Road and continued speeding on Eagle and Overland roads.

The trooper discontinued the chase, but the driver continued into the intersection of Overland and Cloverdale roads, where she crashed into a Nissan Pathfinder driven by Peter Kingston, 45, of Kuna, ISP reports.

No injuries were reported from the crash. In addition to the felony, Lara is charged with driving without privileges. The crash is under investigation by Boise police.
