About 800 Marsing School District students were evacuated from elementary, middle and high schools Thursday after a bomb threat was found in a Marsing High bathroom, the Owyhee County Sheriff's Office reports.

The note was found about 11:45 p.m., claiming that an explosive was hidden in a locker at the middle school. It took nearly three hours for investigations to determine there was no such device, KIVI-TV, Channel 6, reports.

The Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office, Homedale Police Department, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Boise Police Department responded with aid from bomb-sniffing dogs, KIVI reports. The incident is under investigation.
