Chaleena Watson, 40, is being held in the Canyon County Jail on a charge of felony injury to a child.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Watson exchanged sexual texts and messages with a man, reportedly a long-haul trucker, before she started sending inappropriate images of the 12-year-old girl last fall, .
The trucker contacted Health and Welfare, who reported it to Nampa police for an investigation.
The girl “was unaware that this was going on and actually told police that nothing was going on," Nampa Police Sgt. Tim Riha said Friday.
According to the affidavit, the photos were taken surreptitiously of the girl in her underwear or changing her shirt. One photo showed the girl's bare breast, police said.
Watson told police the truck driver asked her to send the pictures and she felt threatened by him. She said she used "bad judgment" in sending the photos, according to the affidavit.
A warrant for Watson's arrest was issued last week and she was arraigned Wednesday. Bond was set at $25,000, and she is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 4.
Nampa police have not been able to get ahold of the truck driver since he reported the incident and sent the photos to police, Riha said.
