Caldwell teen shot during apparent robbery attempt is recovering

A 17-year-old boy shot outside his Caldwell home late on the night of March 28 has been released from a Boise hospital and is recovering at home, Caldwell police said Wednesday.

After the victim regained consciousness, he was able to help police identify four suspects in the shooting and planned robbery that reportedly led to the attack, police said. All are being prosecuted for the crime.

Isaiah Zuniga, 20, of Greenleaf is suspected of shooting the teen and faces felony charges of aggravated battery, conspiracy to commit robbery. conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to traffic in marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Justin Archila, 18, of Middleton and a 17-year-old from Caldwell whose name has not been released are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. Tanya Sue Maddox, 36, of Caldwell is charged with aiding and abetting robbery.

According to court documents, the shooting happened during an arranged marijuana buy that was planned as a robbery.
