Boise man arrested, suspected of robbing Fairview Avenue bank

Boise Police Deparment arrested a man they suspect of robbing a Fairview Avenue bank Friday, BPD said in a press release.

Michael R. Osborn, 32, of Boise, was charged with one count of robbery for reportedly demanding money from a clerk on the 6000 block of West Fairview Avenue just after 6 p.m. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was said to have fled on foot north, according to the press release.

Police released a security camera photo of the suspect, and asked the public for help in finding him. Due to several tips from the public, officers were able to quickly find the suspect, according to the release.

Officers located Osborn near the intersection of Cole Road and McMullen Street around 1 p.m. Saturday, according to BPD.

“We have to thank the concerned citizens around the (Treasure Valley) who made an effort to assist us and get us the information leading to this arrest” said Sgt. Justin Kendall in a statement.

Officers are still investigating the incident and encouraged residents to call Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS with any additional information.
