Vandals hit LDS Temple construction site in Meridian
Ada County Sheriff's deputies are seeking information about whoever broke into the site in the 700 block of North Linder Road over the weekend, using black spray paint to cover walls with graffiti including racist symbols and anti-religious messages.
The vandals also emptied tubes of construction adhesive on the walls and floors of the building, causing at least $500 worth of damage, the sheriff's office reported Monday. The damage occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
In addition, there have been reports of theft at the temple construction site since last year, including a welding unit and an industrial saw.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Justin Elliot at (208) 577-3702.
