Boise man accused of trying to entice teen online

Randall King, 55, was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of sexual abuse of a child under age 16 after a teen's guardian reportedly found explicit online communication between him and the teen, Boise police reported Thursday.

King knew the victim, police said. In a weeklong investigation, officers found evidence he had sent lewd images and messages to the child and attempted to entice the to participate in sexual acts, according to the news release.

King remained in the Ada County Jail Thursday evening, and the investigation is continuing. Police urged parents to take precautions against their children falling victim to Internet crime by keeping the child's computer in an open, common area and talking to children about what personal information is and why they should not give it to anyone online.
